What Is This Program?
This is an additional practice and mentorship program offered by Help Dentist Organization for internationally trained dentists preparing for the NDECC situational assessment.
The program provides 5 face-to-face situational mock sessions conducted in a realistic assessment environment. Each session is an opportunity to practice, receive constructive feedback, and better understand what the assessment involves.
This program is designed to complement your existing preparation — not replace official NDEB or NDECC resources. It is an additional layer of support to help you feel more comfortable, more informed, and more confident going into your assessment.
What Each Session Covers
Situational Scenario Practice
Each session uses situational scenarios that reflect the type and format of the real NDECC assessment, giving you the opportunity to practice in a structured environment.
Face-to-Face Assessment Format
Sessions are conducted in person, helping you become more familiar with the in-person assessment environment before the real thing.
Assessment Rubric Discussion
Your mentor walks you through the assessment criteria so you better understand what is being evaluated and how performance is considered.
Constructive Mentor Feedback
After each session, your mentor provides honest, supportive feedback — highlighting what went well and identifying areas where you can improve.
Guided Performance Discussion
You and your mentor discuss your approach, communication, and decision-making to help you develop greater self-awareness and refine your technique.
Progress and Development Across Sessions
Your mentor tracks your development across all 5 sessions, recognizing improvements and helping you address persistent areas of difficulty.
